Dreamforce 14 Day 3 – Sessions, Wearables and RUSH
As a first-timer at Dreamforce, there was much to expect, and DF14 delivered. After 2 days of keynotes, cloud expo fun and ERPcentral, I felt like I had gotten the hang of things. But as many of you know, every day at Dreamforce is unlike the last, and day 3 was full of surprises, sessions and shindigs. My biggest takeaways from Dreamforce 14 day 3:
Sessions on sessions. Along with salesforce, Certinia.com is all about customer-centricity, and this was definitely an overarching theme throughout the 12 sessions we held yesterday. From an ERP session with HP and Forrester focused on putting the customer at the center of your business application strategy, to an HCM customer panelist session highlighting the benefits of throwing all your HR functions into one tidy suite, the presentations were packed with new findings, thoughtful questions and best practices. Thank you to all of our presenters!
“There’s no reason why the thing on your wrist shouldn’t be able to do everything.” Amen to that, will.i.am. With Puls, users can make calls, email, text and stream music all without phone connectivity. This is especially exciting for us since we’ve developed a pilot application for wearables. See it here. Oh yah, the Puls looks awesome too! It’s no joke that people say Dreamforce is part fashion show too.
And then came RUSH. The most anticipated Dreamforce after-party of them all. The dance floor was packed and the drinks were flowing – everybody was having a great time jamming to new bangers and classic hits. With NewVoiceMedia Nectar, ClickSoftware Sapphire and Certinia of Nature, let’s just say it was a little more difficult than usual to get to 8:30am booth duty this morning… worth it! And yes, that’s our CEO, Jeremy Roche, DJing in the photo.
Go Giants! It’s an exciting time to be in San Francisco, especially when the Giants are on a roll. Last night’s win over the Cardinals leaves us one step away from going to the World Series for the 3rd time in 5 years. Again, let’s go Giants!
