A taste of the future at FinancialForce.Community London 2014 (with some unexpected guests)
Last week we hosted our second UK Community event at Vinopolis, London’s premier wine tasting experience. With the theme ‘a taste of the future’, customers were given insight into the direction of the business and upcoming product releases. Registrations were up 30% from last year – and it was great to see so many customers there, both new and established.
For this year’s event we ran multiple breakout tracks with sessions running alongside each other, and customers were able to set their agenda in advance. Whilst some customers attended a session on the product roadmap, others were undertaking hands on training sessions. There were also sessions focused on the latest and greatest updates to our Accounting and PSA solutions to ensure customers are up to speed on new features and functionality.
We were also pleased to offer “ask me anything” sessions where customers could ask our panel of Certinia.com experts and fellow customers about anything product, company or platform related.
The venue was perfect. The Victorian railway arches of London Bridge offered an inspiring backdrop to the day and evening. Following the sessions, customers were treated to a wine tasting experience which gave an excellent opportunity to network with other customers.
The Chandeliers, a quirky London quartet/party band with a uniquely sassy sparkle, supplied live entertainment at the evening BBQ which ended the day perfectly. In typical british BBQ style, the rain just about managed to hold off long enough, but nobody seemed to mind. We’re looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year.
We also had some unexpected guests. We found ourselves sharing Vinopolis with ITV – which was hosting a fashion awards event and we got to mingle with some very well-known personalities including Mark Wright – pictured with myself and Certinia’s very own Sally Male. I’m afraid anyone in the US, and possibly many in the UK, may not know who this is but the red carpet certainly added some finesse to the day.
