Services organizations have always depended on efficiency and good decision making to drive customer value and propel their businesses ahead. But those qualities are more important now than ever as technology disruptions, market shifts, and global economic changes take us through a continuing industry transition. Certinia is here to help your services business navigate whatever lies ahead.

Our Spring 2025 release is loaded with features to give you more foresight, flexibility, and intelligence. From smarter AI to better project visibility, this update is centered around enabling services organizations to move faster, work smarter, and deliver customer value at scale.

Let’s walk through what’s new—and what it means for your teams.

Certinia AI Delivers Resource and Customer Insights, Unlocking the Value of Hidden Data

Our Spring ’25 release puts intelligence where it’s most needed, helping services teams act faster and more confidently to meet customer expectations and unlocking the value of data hidden throughout the service delivery process.

For Resource Managers, responding to staffing requests often means digging through scattered profiles, resumes, and project histories. That process takes time and leaves room for missed opportunities. With the new GenAI Resource Summary, currently available for early adopters, managers get a concise view of a candidate’s key skills and experience. This makes it easier to match the right people to the right projects at the right time, improving delivery quality and giving customers a more seamless experience from the start.

For Customer Success teams, we’re introducing a GenAI Customer Account Summary that brings together relevant customer details, sentiment signals, potential risks, and suggested next steps. CSMs no longer need to piece together information from disconnected records. This AI-generated view helps them stay ahead of customer needs, deliver on expectations, and strengthen the relationships that drive retention and growth.

These new capabilities reflect our approach to AI: practical, embedded, and focused on outcomes that matter. Certinia AI reduces friction and surfaces the right insights at the right moment, helping services teams stay focused on what they do best: delivering value to their customers.

Elevating Skills and Resource Productivity

The growing demand for specialized skills is driving a market shift toward a skills-based economy, where the focus is increasingly on specific skills capability, rather than traditional roles.

In the Spring ‘25 release, we’ve introduced skill suggestions that are generated from the skills within a resource pool as well as based on past assignments. This enables customers who are getting started with skills to benefit from suggestions when they may lack historical data. It helps Resource and Project Managers to quickly identify the most relevant skills for resource requests, reducing the time to staff and ensuring every project is equipped with the best possible, and available, talent.

We’ve elevated smart rescheduling, providing services organizations with greater foresight when projects deviate from their allocated hours. This feature uses embedded intelligence to provide Project Managers with a clear view of how scheduling changes will impact margins and budgets for different scenarios. As a result, they can make more strategic and proactive decisions, such as securing additional budget for extended hours or reallocating resources to other projects to optimize overall efficiency.

Spring ‘25 introduces the new Resource Request Staffer user experience that transforms resource request staffing at scale. These enhancements allow Resource Managers to match and then assign, hold, or shortlist up to 1000 resource requests with ease, significantly cutting down the time and effort needed to staff each request individually. Instead of manually staffing large volumes of resource requests at one time, the matching process is now automated, speeding up the time to staff and improving overall efficiency.

Creating More Accurate Estimates, Faster

As services organizations expand their offerings to include digital services alongside traditional resource-based work, they need a reliable way to estimate multiple types of services. Spring ‘25 now enables the sale of services products, such as digital workers and AI, allowing services organizations to build more accurate estimates while growing new business models.

Estimators and finance teams will benefit from a new feature called Estimate Financial Summary, which provides a monthly breakdown of the revenue and costs of an estimate. Users can better understand the project’s anticipated cashflow, identify margin risks, and make informed decisions before the project kicks off, ensuring its financial success from the start. Spring ‘25 also delivers an additional method for estimating beyond traditional pricing methods like fixed price or time and materials (T&M). Services organizations can now create their own pricing models using configurable pricing calculations, ensuring more accurate and tailored estimates.

We’ve improved guided scoping with dynamic questions, which adjust based on previous responses. This means that only relevant questions are displayed, minimizing the time spent on unnecessary inputs. The result: more precise estimates, leading to higher customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Enhancing Project Management with Greater Visibility

This release marks an advancement for project managers and services leaders with our new portfolio object. Portfolios are collections of related projects, such as all projects for each customer, all projects managed by a specific project manager, or any other desired criteria. A portfolio provides you with key data about each project, offering higher levels of visibility and time-saving efficiency. This feature summarizes project information within the Delivery Tracker and automatically consolidates the data into a rolled-up view with totals. As a result, project managers and services leaders can effortlessly monitor the progress of all projects within their scope, gaining a complete overview without the need for manual calculations.

Streamlining Time Management

Resources will no longer be weighed down by tedious and manual timesheet entry processes. Thanks to UI improvements and a new “Suggest My Timesheet” feature, an initial draft of the timesheet can be generated based on their scheduled assignments and tasks. Resources can easily make any necessary edits, ensuring accuracy, and streamlining the submission process.

Delivering a Connected Customer Journey

We continue to break down operational silos and enhance the customer journey by tracking value at every step of the customer lifecycle. Spring ‘25 gives CS teams deeper visibility into customer challenges and objectives, captured early during the opportunity stage. CSMs can track Objective KPIs and their trends, making it easier to show tangible progress toward achieving customer business objectives. Enhanced pooling capabilities now auto-assign resources based on specific attributes, such as regional characteristics, skills, and capacity. This allows CS organizations to scale efficiently without the need for additional resources, extending the value of CS Cloud with PS Cloud. CS teams will also have easy access to data and analytics, improving oversight with updated dashboards for CSMs. And with enhanced time-tracking capabilities, CSMs can clearly see how they allocate their time and with which clients, providing clear proof points of the value created by the CS organization.

Automating Workflows for Financial Excellence

I am pleased to share that our financials product group has been renamed from ERP Cloud to Financial Management (FM) Cloud, which more accurately reflects the financial management capabilities Certinia provides for services organizations. While the name has changed, our commitment to helping services organizations achieve financial excellence remains consistent. Spring ‘25 delivers automation enhancements that will help finance teams boost work productivity, including highly requested cash matching capabilities, simultaneous bank reconciliations, and an enhanced UI for large-scale revenue recognition.
