Scott Brown
President & Chief Executive Officer
Scott Brown, President and CEO, leads Certinia’s mission to help organizations connect the front and back office with the leading customer-centric business suite on the Salesforce platform. Before joining the company, Scott was Chief Revenue Officer for publicly-traded data analytics leader Teradata, where he led 5,000 professionals across sales, customer success, engineering, and global consulting teams-as well as a global partner ecosystem-to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Scott has built life-long relationships with customers as he has helped them gain value and succeed in their businesses. Prior to Teradata, Scott held global sales and customer success roles at Cisco for 22 years, most recently leading teams of 3,400 professionals to deliver over $10 billion in annual bookings. Prior to Cisco, Scott spent 10 years working with ERP customers at System Software Associates and Effective Management Systems.
Scott earned an MBA in Marketing from Loyola University of Chicago and a BA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He has taught MBA-level courses at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Northwestern University, and Duke University.
Dan Brown
Chief Product & Strategy Officer
Daniel Brown is Chief Product and Strategy Officer at Certinia and is responsible for guiding the company’s product strategy to deliver on its ambitious growth plans and expanding the size and scope of the product development organization.
Dan joins Certinia with over 25 years of business software and SaaS solutions experience, including 15 years at Microsoft Corporation. Dan’s most recent Microsoft role was General Manager of Corporate Strategy, where he led the company’s internal digital transformation strategy.
Previously, Dan ran Microsoft’s Dynamic AX and Dynamics NAV product teams, where he was responsible for their international business growth, product development, and shift to a cloud delivery model. Prior to Microsoft, he led the product group for Rivio, a Silicon Valley startup that built workflow-based SaaS applications, including financials management for small-to-medium sized businesses.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, all from Stanford University, California.
Heather Gille
Chief People Officer
Heather Gille is Chief People Officer at Certinia and is responsible for all of Employee Success and developing and executing HR strategies in support of organizational growth, specifically in the areas of talent management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives. Heather brings more than fifteen years of executive experience across all aspects of human resources.
Most recently, Heather served as Global Vice President, People and Workplace at Glu Mobile where she oversaw a team of 38 professionals across three markets; US, CA and India. Additionally, she and her team drove due diligence for a $2.4 billion acquisition of Glu Mobile by Electronic Arts. Prior to this, Heather served as Vice President, Human Resources at McKesson and led the company’s Center of Excellence for all issues related to human resources within mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Heather also brings ten years of experience from across varying business functions including accounting, procurement, business development, operations and financial planning.
Heather is a graduate from Santa Clara University.
Todd Kisaberth
Chief Customer Officer
Todd Kisaberth is Chief Customer Officer at Certinia and is responsible for all Customer Operations and comes with deep experience across all of the CCO disciplines of Customer Success, Post Sales Support, Professional Services, Renewals, Training and Communities. Todd brings over 20 years of experience serving in executive leadership roles in global B2B technology companies. Most recently, Todd served as Chief Customer Officer at Plex Systems, where he was responsible for the entire Plex customer experience, including professional and education services, customer success management, and customer support. Additionally, Todd has IPO experience from his time heading up customer operations at Tenable. He also has extensive professional services experience responsible for $130M in services revenue and overseeing operations both domestically and internationally (Japan, Mexico and Brazil).
Todd is a graduate from The University of Toledo, OH.
Michelle Mathis
Vice President of Strategic Planning
Michelle Mathis is the Vice President of Strategic Planning at Certinia and is responsible for driving the company’s planning cycles and business reviews, cross-business initiatives, and licensing and pricing strategy. Michelle joined Certinia with over 18 years of leadership experience, including seven years at Microsoft Corporation in the Dynamics Business Application division. Prior to Microsoft, Michelle spent over 16 years in the telecommunications industry. She held various roles, including several strategic pricing positions, at Ericsson, BellSouth (now AT&T), and Nortel Networks. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Ravi Narula
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer for Certinia, Ravi Narula develops and manages strategies to expand the business and accelerate revenue, overseeing finance, IT, information security, and facilities & real estate.
A growth-minded finance leader with significant experience in scaling organizations, Ravi has a strong record of success in business, finance, and operations across industry verticals including enterprise SaaS, networking, and communications.
Ravi spent the last 20 years helping to transform technology startups into large and mature public companies. Before joining Certinia, Ravi was CFO at Ooma Inc., where he helped drive the company’s IPO, raised private and institutional money, played an instrumental role in growing the business domestically and internationally, improved gross margins, and created operational efficiencies. Previously, Ravi served as Chief Accounting Officer at Gigamon Inc., where he helped grow revenue and EBITDA margins while playing a critical role in the company’s IPO. Ravi also served as CFO at BigBand Networks Inc., and his earlier career included finance leadership roles at Borland Software and Deloitte & Touché.
Ravi holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Garhwal in India.
Allen Seto
Chief Legal Officer
Allen Seto is Chief Legal Officer at Certinia and is responsible for all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. Allen will leverage his 20+ years of corporate legal experience as he further develops, leads, and scales the legal organization in support of the company’s growth. Allen was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Silver Peak, where he guided the company through its sale to Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company for $925 million. Prior to that, he was Vice President and General Counsel at ShoreTel, where he led the worldwide legal function, resulting in the sale of the company for $530 million to Mitel Networks Corporation, and he served as Associate General Counsel at Taleo, where he advised the company through its $1.9 billion sale to Oracle Corporation. He has also held Corporate Counsel positions at Oracle and SYNNEX Corp.
Allen started his career at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom where he represented clients in corporate and securities law matters. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in both Economics and Rhetoric and the UCLA School of Law with a Juris Doctor in the Business Law Program.
John Turner (JT)
Chief Revenue Officer
JT is Chief Revenue Officer at Certinia, is responsible for all of Go-To-Market and has more than three decades of experience in sales and talent development, including 20+ years in the software industry. JT joins Certinia most recently from Red Canary, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to that, he was Head of Sales for Google Cloud Security Products responsible for global sales for all of Google Cloud security products. JT has also served as Chief Revenue Officer at Chronicle, an independent company within Alphabet, focused on enterprise cybersecurity, and as Chief Revenue Officer, Project Lantern at Google X, Google’s “moonshot factory”. He has held other senior leadership positions at TriNet, where he participated in a successful IPO, Symantec, Gartner, and Chase Manhattan Bank.
JT earned an MBA from San Jose State University and completed a certificate in Negotiation and Influence Strategies from the Stanford Business School.
Deb Ashton
Founder & Senior Vice President, Strategic Customer Experience
Deb Ashton is Senior Vice President of Strategic Customer Experience and a Founder of Certinia. Deb has been instrumental in the growth and ongoing success of the Certinia business. In her current role, Deb’s mission is to work with our customers to understand their journey, ensure they maximize the value they derive from our solutions, and enhance the overall customer experience.
As an ERP expert with over 25 years of experience, Deb has worked on some of the industries’ leading ERP platforms. From the inception of Certinia, Deb has been in senior leadership positions including product strategy and development, global support, and customer success.
Prior to her involvement with Certinia, Deb led the international product teams at Coda following an acquisition by SciSys and later UNIT4. Deb held leadership positions in product management and engineering, as well as presales and account management. She has a degree in Applied Biology from Sheffield Hallam University.
