October 21-25 marks International Services Week, a new global initiative developed in partnership with Certinia, Avalara, Diabsolut, RSM, Slalom, OpMentors, and more to celebrate the essential role of services and technology organizations in today’s global economy.

With services accounting for 66% of global GDP according to World Bank, the sector has become the largest and fastest-growing contributor to economic growth. The 2024 Global Service Dynamics Report reveals that 99% of companies view their professional services organizations (PSOs) as essential to achieving strategic goals, with a majority treating them as profit centers.

As companies increasingly depend on service providers — whether it’s management consulting, SaaS, or any service-based business — to optimize operations and navigate economic uncertainties, the impact of PSOs on growth, efficiency, and business profitability is undeniable. 

Services Week is the response to this shift: an acknowledgement of the companies, people, and teamwork that contribute so much to the global economy.

International Services Week is a celebration — and a call to action. While 85% of companies plan to grow their services teams this year, many still struggle to achieve efficiency and sustainable growth. Delivering services requires a unique approach, distinct from product delivery. Yet, services have often been underserved by misaligned tools, outdated skills, and inefficient strategies. 

Together, we’ll tackle these challenges by bringing together practitioners and thought leaders to exchange ideas, share best practices, and empower organizations with the right technologies, education, and connections to thrive in the Services Era.

There are many ways to get involved: learn from industry leaders, connect with peers at virtual and in-person events, and join the conversation. TSIA World ENVISION in Las Vegas: Kick off Services Week with cocktails at our themed welcome and networking reception on Monday, October 21, booth 301 on the expo floor.

Expert Panel with Salesforce and Sabio in London: On October 23 at Salesforce Tower, don’t miss our panel discussion and networking reception led by Jo-Anne Snowden, Senior Director of Professional Services. Featuring experts Jocelyn Zanasi, VP of Professional Services at Salesforce and James Stevenson, Group Head of Professional Services at Sabio, the panel will dig into current trends, skills demands, technology adoption, and client satisfaction strategies, drawing from a survey of over 1,000 service leaders.
