Giving back in Sydney: The Bloody Long Walk 2016
To celebrate the Certinia Australia/New Zealand support team being together in the same location for the first time in a year this November, we decided to participate in a Certinia4Good event and chose “The Bloody Long Walk.”
We selected the Bloody Long Walk for the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation because it is both a good cause and a lovely stroll in the outdoors (not something the support team sees too often).
The walk involved a 35km trek along the Sydney Coastline and Harbour finishing up in the centre of Sydney city at Circular Quay. The team started off in high spirits but the grueling Australian climate saw some team members having to stop at a watering hole (i.e. cafe) to regain their composure.
The team finished the event and we were proud to not be the last team across the finish line. We look forward to participating again next year!
