FinancialForce ranked as a top IT workplace in the UK
It’s official: Great Place to Work® UK has ranked Certinia as one of the best workplaces in the UK, specifically in the IT vertical for medium-sized businesses! We are humbled and honoured to be named, as we’ve been more committed than ever to fostering employee success and a diverse culture.
This is the first year that UK’s Best Workplaces delivered a separate ranking for those in the IT sector, the first of its kind in the UK recognising the best employers in the IT sector.
In addition to the ranking, UK’s Best Workplaces delivered a report outlining the challenges that these organizations face. The IT sector is a growing, hugely lucrative sector for the UK economy. The report found that “IT organisations are outperforming other sectors in the levels of trust and engagement in their organisations. They have strong workplace cultures where innovation and collaboration are encouraged and rewarded, where people enjoy working together, have pride in what they do and who they work for and are committed to deliver their best.”
Key trends from the report include:
- 74% of ranked organisations reported net profits. For organisations across all sectors who were not ranked as a Best Workplace, the comparable figure is 50%.
- 84% offer working from home/telecommuting, compared to just 22% in the average organisation.
- Employees in the largest occupational group receive 62 hours a year in formal training. The compares to an average of just 20.4 training hours across all organisations in the UK.
Once again, it’s a tremendous honour to be recognised amongst our peers in the IT sector, as well as our good friends at Salesforce who ranked #1 in the large business category! Other impressive companies that made the list include Cisco, Adobe Systems, and Rackspace.
