Happy 1st Birthday FinancialForce.com
A year ago today, Certinia.com, inc. was launched! It’s been a whirlwind year for us and much has happened since 30th September 2009: A new headquarters in San Mateo, two major product releases and another imminent, new mobile applications, Chatter integration and a new Chatter application launched, not to mention growing our customer base across 17 countries.
The cloud marketplace has developed considerably in just a year as understanding of the benefits cloud can deliver have improved. Organizations are realizing that cloud is in many ways more secure that having a server in their building and are seeing it as a viable and positive route to delivering applications.
Even large organizations have started moving their accounting functions to the cloud earlier than we expected and are recognizing the benefits of embedding accounting into customer facing operations. Certinia.com has got to where it is now by combining CODA’s 30 years of designing and building financial applications, with salesforce.com’s decade of platform dependability, availability and security. And we think it gives us the best foundation to continue delivering market leading cloud accounting in the future.
